Progress Report – Furniture
We drove down to the Phoenix Metro Area today to do some furniture shopping. We have gone furniture shopping before but haven’t seen anything we liked. I mentioned that we were going to do our interior with a southwestern theme to the man that installed our shutters. He has a friend and associate that handles a lot of the southwestern styles, so we drove down to Mesa to check him out.
We found several pieces that we liked and placed the order. In all, we bought a dining room set, a sofa and love seat, a coffee table with matching end tables, two southwestern style table lamps and a sofa table.Southwestern Sofa – click on the image to enlarge
Next week, we’re going to shop for bedroom sets for the master suite and office – we already have queen bed for the guest bedroom but need a headboard and night stands. Stay tuned!
A Cardinal Pansy
We have been getting bids from several landscape contractors for irrigation systems, rocks and plants to the Arizona property. Today, we were visiting one contractor at his garden shop where this cardinal-colored pansy was in bloom. The red color and black face of a cardinal match this flower almost perfectly. Synthetic Palms and Actual Snow
We crossed from California to our new home in Arizona today. When we drove through the San Bernardino area in the “inland empire,” we passed miles of snow capped mountains. Damsel caught this image of the mountains along with a couple of those ridiculous phony cell palms. This is another case of beauty being obscured by an eyesore or two (sort of like the Wind Turbines in Banning Pass). Click on the image to enlarge.
