Easter Lily Cactus Flower

This echinopsis (a.k.a hedgehog, sea-urchin or Easter lily cactus) flower opened up during the night. This morning, I got this photo of it where it sits in a pot in front of the Arizona house. This cactus has flowered before, but I don’t remember the flower being this large. I think it likes the desert! Click on the image to enlarge.

A Late Spring Cactus Orchid

I am pleasantly surprised that our frülingsgold epiphyllum produced another flower this late in the season. It might be the climate here versus Southern California, but these usually are done by April out there. I like it! Click on the image to enlarge.

The Hummingbird Feeder

Lat week, the hummingbirds showed interest in some decorations I hung out on the patio. I found the hummingbird feeder and put some syrup in it a couple of days ago. Today, this cute little hummingbird found the feeder and gave me this photo op. Click on the image to enlarge.
