Behold: FRANKENCARE!

And just how will this monstrosity be paid for? Taxes, that’s how. Taxes levied by the looters on the producers to buy votes from the moochers.

James Taranto of the Wall Street Journal posted this item today about MoveOn.org’s attack on Fox News:
MoveOn.org, the ghastly people who brought us “General Betray Us,” have joined President Obama in his war against Fox News Channel. Yesterday we received an email from MoveOn’s Noah T. Winer that begain:
“All year, FOX has worked 24/7 to block President Obama’s agenda—repeating lies about “death panels,” promoting Tea Party protests, and whipping up fake political scandals. Now, President Obama is fighting back. The White House communications director said FOX is a “wing of the Republican Party . . . let’s not pretend they’re a news network.” To draw attention to its biased coverage, President Obama will not appear on FOX for the rest of this year.
It’s about time Democrats stood up to FOX! Can you sign this petition asking Democrats to support President Obama’s stance by staying off FOX as long as he does?”
We think Fox is too left-wing, so we signed the petition in the hope of remedying that.
Seriously, though, we are of two minds about this, and we should begin by disclosing our direct interest in the matter: We have been an employee of Fox’s parent company, News Corp., since it acquired Dow Jones & Co. in December 2007, and we own some News Corp. stock.
Of course it delights us to see the president and his most unsavory supporters promote Fox as the only TV news network that isn’t in the tank for the administration. Although this isn’t entirely fair to the other networks–in particular, ABC News’s Jake Tapper has shown a strong independent streak–it is well-deserved recognition for the work Fox has done in bringing to the fore such stories as the Van Jones and Acorn scandals, which many other news organizations ignored for as long as they could.
On the other hand, we are an American, and Barack Obama is our president too. It cracks us up when MoveOn.org cheers on the president for “fighting back” by “not appearing” and “staying off.” “Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about, and gallantly he chickened out.”
But it scares the hell out of us to think that this also seems to be Obama’s approach to dealing with America’s enemies.
Emphasis mine – Obama seems unable to face his enemies, political or otherwise.

I logged into http://gov.ca.gov/interact this afternoon to express my frustration at the Governator’s signing of California anti-ammunition bill AB 962. Click image below to magnify the fine print.
You can send him a note also. You don’t have to live in “Kullyfoania” to express your disappointment with “Ahnold.” Please – let him have it.
Updated to include the Nobel Prize Committee’s latest upstaging of their own stupidity . . .

None of them are champions of peace, yet they have all been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
The Nobel Peace Prize has been a joke for years. Consider the following with regard to the discretion of the prize award selection committee:
They should rename the prize to something like the Nobel Anti-American Prize and be done with it.
Finally, read Jim Geraghty’s list of Obama’s peaceful accomplishments at NRO‘s The Campaign Spot.

Update: Krauthammer’s Take
Well, [Obama] used a sports analogy. [So] let’s do a tally. He goes abroad, he denigrates America over and over again, he apologizes for everything from Hiroshima to everything that the Bush administration ever did, as a way to rebrand America, ingratiate himself and restore our leadership and what does he get?
Rio.
It was almost unimaginable that a president would actually go abroad if he didn’t have it wired. And look, this was the perfect audience for him, a collection of global Euro-trash who love all this anti-American stuff, and it didn’t even work on them.
I love it – anti-American Euro-trash.
Representative Jane Harman (D CA-36) chimed in with the ridiculous mantra that the US should send troops contingent on some sensationalized Afghanistan corruption problems (whatever).
HEY JANE! US Troops are getting killed! THAT and General McChrystal’s word should be your litmus test whether additional troops are needed in Afghanistan!

We created the image above on the occasion of the UN’s 60th Birthday. Now that the Obamessiah has graced the despotic league with his presence, the UN remains just as ineffective and corrupt as ever, maybe more.
Charles Krauthammer dissected Obama’s bragging and condescending words as well as anyone could:
This speech hovered somewhere between embarrassing and dangerous. You had a president of the United States actually saying: “No [one] nation can or should try to dominate another.”
I will buy the “should try to” as kind of adolescent wishful thinking. But “no [one] nation can dominate another”? What planet is he living on? It is the story of man. What does he think Russia is doing to Georgia?
But the alarming part is what he said in the same paragraph where he said that it makes no sense anymore “the alignments of nations that are rooted in the cleavages of the Cold War.”
Well, NATO is rooted in the cleavage of the Cold War. The European Union is rooted in the cleavage of the Cold War. Our alliances with Japan and Korea and the Philippines, our guarantees to Taiwan and Eastern Europe are all rooted in the cleavage of the Cold War. (Interesting noun, incidentally.)
So he is saying that is all now irrelevant. What does he think our allies are going to think who hear this?
Obama’s speech is alarming because it says the United States has no more moral right to act or to influence world history than Bangladesh or Sierra Leone.
It diminishes the United States deliberately and wants to say that we should be one nation among others, and not defend the alliance of democracies that we have in NATO, for example, or to say — as [did] every president who goes before Obama — that we stand for something good and unique in the world.
And it [NATO] is not the equivalent, for example, of the alignment of Chavez with Ecuador and Bolivia and Nicaragua and Russia and Cuba and Iran…..
This one was worse: When he [Obama] boasted about how he had reversed the course of America, and those who doubt our character should look at our actions, among the actions he cited was our joining the U.N. Human Rights Council, which is led by the worst human rights violators on the planet. It is an Orwellian, farcical organization. The idea that we should be on it is regrettable, but the idea that we should be boasting about it as an American achievement is a scandal.
