Nice cactus!
One was here, the other was “midnight requisitioned” from close to the house in the neighbors empty lot.
So, you visited the Midnite Cactus Nursery, eh? Those the same guys that own the Midnite Christmas Tree Farm?
So many pretty flowers, hopefully without much maintenance. Does one have to spray cacti for bugs?
Sometimes, we do, Tom. Mealybugs are a problem I need to watch for, especially on a small barrel cactus called the Twisted Rib Fishhook Barrel (Thelocactus setispinus var. hamatus). These are really susceptible to the Mealybug, which often hides in the soil at the base of the plant, and if I don’t stop them in time, they can multiply in such numbers that they will kill the plant.
However, most native cacti in their habitat are resistant to most pests.
Crotalus, I think they are related. Lol.
