First Plumeria
Dozens of plumerias in the neighborhood have had flowers for weeks, but for some reason, my plumerias are usually late. However, they are reliable and produce flowers every year. Click on the image to enlarge.
Crassula Falcata
About two weeks ago, I posted a photo of this flower cluster growing on the Crassula Falcata succulent adjacent to our front porch. At the time, the tiny individual flowers were not open. Today, I took this photo of the flowers that are now open exposing the yellow stamens. The flowers also have a nice fresh fragrance. Click on the image to enlarge.
Echeveria Runyonii ‘Topsy Turvy’
I bought this interesting succulent in a small planter last week at the garden shop. The flowers were just starting to open at the time. The flowers are on a six-inch stalk growing out of the main part of the succulent. They are called ‘topsy turvy’ due to the scrambled appearance of the plant.
Crassula Falcata
This is one of the flowers growing on the Crassula Falcata succulent adjacent to our front porch, Every year this interesting plant grows flower stalks that produce an array of tiny red flowers. When the little flowers open up, they have yellow stamens which give the flowers an orange appearance when seen from a distance.
According to Desert Tropicals, this plant does not tolerate direct sunlight in hot Phoenix summers, so we’ll try and grow one in a shady spot on the patio at the new Wickenburg house. Our back patio should be shady all day.

Plumerias
