Gerbera Daisies
Today was grocery shopping day and, as usual, I bought some flowers for the vase in the great room. These colorful Gerbera daisies bring home some of the fall flower colors to the house. Click on the image to enlarge.
Second Spring Cactus Flowers
These tiny flowers appeared on my thimble cactus today. They are pale yellow and only a quarter of an inch across. This is one of the cacti we brought from California and is doing very well here in Arizona. I guess they like our “second spring” that occurs in late October and early November. Fragrant Bouquet
We bought these beautiful and fragrant flowers yesterday at the flower concession in the local supermarket. Looks and smells nice. Click on the image to enlarge.
Pink Oleander Flowers
The house down the road had a bunch of oleander border plants. I was out walking the dogs when I noticed the pink blooms on one of the bushes. I walked back to the house, got my camera and headed back to take this photo of the pretty pink flowers. Click on the image to enlarge.
Devil’s Tongue Orange Flowers
Late in the season, but this devil’s tongue barrel cactus is displaying some wonderful orange flowers. Click on the image to enlarge.
Daisies in Fall Colors
I bought two bunches of daisies yesterday and arranged them in a vase in the great room. I guess fall is really here in Arizona, although the daytime temperatures are in the mid nineties while the nights get down to the low sixties. My Pride of Barbados flowers are mostly gone and the shrub is going dormant. I will miss them until next June when they come back for the summer. Click on the image to enlarge.
