Occasionally, these nice puffy cumulus clouds will band together to form thunderstorms. We’re in monsoon season from now until September. Sooner or later, we will get lightning, thunder and a gully-washer cloudburst. Our first storm of the season here was on July 3rd. We kind of like ’em despite the increased humidity. Yeah, nothing like a nice rain to clear the air!
I always liked watching The Big Ones come rolling in from the West back when I lived in Illinois. The temperature would start to drop, the air smelled fresher, and then BOOM! Thunder and Lightning.
O.K., I’m jealous. They’re rare this far west in the desert.
We’re Loving it! After the last storm, on the 4th, we haven’t had much rain just sticky. But I’m not complaining.
