This is a reprise to the shooting session at our range last Sunday. Midweek seems like a good time to pick out a video (I take several each session) and post it here.
The videos come in handy for a couple of reasons. One purpose is to critique our form and style, another is to document anomalies and a third is to post here on our blog for our mutual amusement.
This is one of Damsel’s several runs on the bullseye target with her Warthog. We scored some ‘bargain’ .45 ammunition last weekend, so we took the big caliber pistols to the range.
She loves this little Warthog. It’s been performing quite well as of late, and so is her shooting.
I don’t know how many hits she got but she does come back on target very good. Form looks excellent. I am no expert at all, but I don’t think I would want her shooting at me.
Watching her shoot, I can see the little specs of confetti flying off the back of the paper target, so I know she’s hitting it. We tend to leave a target out there until it gets so riddled that we have to replace it, so knowing where she’s hitting is difficult.
woow Thanks Soldier! With the cost of ammo these days every shot counts!
Plus hard to find. ;p
I went to buy some .45 ammo today for my Warthog. Sold out… People are driving 100 miles or more around here (MT) to find .45, .357, 30.06 etc. One guy in the shop called the clerk a “butt hole” then stormed out for not having any ammo after driving 50 miles.
Good to hear Damsel’s Warthog is performing well. Mine has been great. Got to love the relatives who have property outside city limits and like target shooting when we go there to celebrate a holiday. 😀
We probably won’t be taking the .45s to the range until the ammo becomes less scarce. Same for the 9mm guns. We have plenty of shotgun shells, so they will be going this weekend.
We’re going to the NRA/Phoenix next week and will be looking for a couple of .22 pistols to insert into the target practice mix.
I scored some .45 and 5.56 ammo last month but have to slow down. That stuff is getting expensive. Went turkey hunting twice last weekend and #4 shot isn’t easy to find in some places.
Damsel stopped in the sporting goods outlet yesterday and found that the ammo shelves were mostly bare. They have had no problem with shotgun shells until the last week or so.
I go to the interwebtubes for bulk ammo now.
