I guess we won’t be harvesting any of the saguaro fruit this season since the birds seem to gorge themselves on the fruit before we can get them to ripen on the cactus. This is a curve billed thresher helping itself to the pears on the saguaro this morning. We call this the “Skut Farcas” bird because of the yellow eyes – YELLOW EYES!! Great shot…but I didn’t really make the connection to Skut Farcas…wasn’t he the guy that threw the snowball? Hi, just stopped by for the visit…hadn’t been here for awhile and had to leave some kind of “‘Kilroy Was Here’ notice…

These guys (curved billed thresher) are loud and obnoxious and they have yellow eyes. Like the Skut Farcas bully from Christmas Story. Guess youd’ve had to seen it. Ha. He even had yellow teeth.
Skut was the bully that wore the beavertail cap that chased the little kids and made them say “Uncle.” Ralphie eventually kicked the sh*t out of Skut.
Grover Gill was Skut’s toadie. We will be watching Christmas Story when the holidays roll around.
