I walked out across the road today and snapped a series of images that I merged into a single panoramic image of the Arizona house and yard. We received some of the office furniture this week and are working on acquiring the rest of the home furnishings in a week or two. We’re getting closer to our completion of the interior and are just a few steps closer to the completion of the landscaping. Click on the panoramic image to see full-sized.

No parapets unless the Mexican cartels make it this far up into Arizona. Then, all bets are off. 😉

We’re considering rebuilding our patio area into another room to be my radio room/workshop. One of the things I told my YF is that I want a flat roof (makes it easy to mount things) and a hatch to get there from inside.
If it winds up being too expensive to add a hatch, then I’d like a ladder attached to the side of the new addition.
This will happen after we get the electrical service upgraded. I want the drop from the pole to go to a new main panel in the garage, and we’ll use the existing panel as a sub-panel for the house.
I’d put those roof hatches in. You never know when the graboids will show up.
