    Now that looks scary to me. It seems as if the whole area is not burning like the rest of it. That makes an ignorant guy like me, with regard to the sun and how exactly it works, think that could mean trouble for us if true.

    Coronal holes are not as vigorous a phenomenon as flares. The latter can cause power outages and other complex effects here on little old Earth.
