I stopped into a sandwich shop yesterday to get a ‘care package’ on the way to my Mom and Dad’s place. When I stepped outside, this was parked right there – right in your face. Bob thinks it’s a Ford ‘Hi Boy’ chassis, uhh, slightly modified. It looks like a lot of love and effort went into this interesting hot-rod.

Damsel you showed an amazing presense of mind. Seeing this apparition of beauty and then stopping to take a picture. Quite frankly, I could not have done that. I would have completely ignored any photographic equipment I may have been carrying.
No indeed. I would have immediately dropped to my knees and started licking the upholstery.
Uuum great!
I Googled ‘ford hi boy’ image search and could not, in my opinion, come up with any that were as nice as this one. And there were some pretty nice ones . . .
Had I been with Damsel when she took this shot, I might have had the same urges as Sig . . .
SCHWEET!
Looks like a “Track Nose” on the front. I wouldn’t call it a ‘High Boy”, though. It’s a “T Bucket”, sometimes called a “Track T”.
Nice car……
We saw this car again driving near Marine Avenue and Hawthorne Boulevard. Too far away to get a good shot of it though. Thanks for the T Bucket info Jim . . .
