I was just messing around with some of Damsel’s photographs she took last Saturday at the Botanical Garden. One sequence of images seemed to me to look like frames from a movie, so I arranged them and made this Flash&trade: pseudo-movie.

Not bad…next time use a tri-pod.
I once did a similar movie using a small car (game piece from monopoly) and placed the piece on a road map. I used a ruler to make sure the car would move the same distance
for each frame. To make for interesting effects I would change the traveling distance every so often so that the car would speed up or slow down (especially around curves).
And that was in the old days of 8mm and super 8…I had a camera that could take single frames.
And, oh yes, before I forget…I used a felt-tip pen to lay down a mark behind each movement of the car.
Sounds like an interesting experiment, Norm.
I was just messing around with the snapshots and none of this was pre-planned. Damsel just happened to snap a bunch of stills in rapid succession and this was the candid result. She took some others that I may fool around with later.
A few weeks ago, she snapped a pair of rapid succession photos of a section of railroad track which I converted to a 3D image. You will need a pair of red/blue 3D glasses to see this:

Ahhhhh, the nerdy side of life . . .
