Last March, we had the landscaping crew plant rosemary bushes on the embankment behind the house along the RV drive. They planted approximately sixty one-gallon bushes in diagonal rows of two or three down the slope of the embankment. They set up the irrigation tubes and started the automatic timer for the watering cycle. The photo at the right shows a section of the embankment with the newly-planted rosemary bushes.
Yesterday, Damsel took this picture of the embankment. The two photos were taken looking toward about the same area of the embankment. The top photo was taken in the morning while the bottom photo in the late afternoon. It has been roughly ten months since the rosemary were planted and the progress is obvious. Eventually, we’re hoping that the rosemary will cover the entire embankment to help stabilize the erosion and to make a pleasant backdrop along the RV drive.

This the same kind of rosemary you use for seasoning?
Absolutely! When Damsel is cooking she will often say, “Go cut me a couple of sprigs of rosemary.” Of course, her cooking is awesome and the rosemary is FRESH!
My stepson’s girlfriend, who’s living with us, always plants lots of spices in little buckets out on the back porch. Definitely nice to have fresh *whatever* to use when cooking!
I just bought a little garden herb grower. We will install it in the next couple months. There is nothing like rosemary in Robalito, thyme in chicken and dumplings, sage on pork. Anybody else getting hungry?

Our herb garden out on the back porch is dormant now, but after they all dried up, we bagged them for future use.
