The cabinet makers delivered our entertainment center today. We asked them to match the knotted alder wood cabinets that they installed while the house was being built. I think they did an excellent job. We’re watching football this afternoon, so this will be a short post. Click on the image to enlarge.
Nice cabinet but why 2 screens?
Primary (bottom screen) football game and secondary (top screen – muted) football game. Maybe baseball on one and NASCAR on the other. We don’t watch a lot of TV these days other than sports.
Looks like a “Shoofly” drawing on the wall…
Norm
Good eye! That is indeed a “Shoofly” . Picked it up about in April, just got it hung. He used to live in our town. Good one Norm.
I could do that with one as a computer monitor and the other as a TV! Maybe I should do that.
Yep, its a good set-up. Used to have 4 just for football. We’re sorta football nutz.

Actually a short story should explain the so-called ‘good eye’…
Some years ago my wife’s best friend (the friend’s name is Pam) lived in Connecticut but would vacation in New Mexico. It was these annual trips to the Southwest that Pam and her husband Carl befriended Robert Shufelt the artist…long story short…Pam has quite an array of ‘Shoofly’ drawings…some autographed originals and some prints. I forget how many drawings Pam has amassed but there was enough on her walls to to re-classify her huge den/living area as a gallery.
We visted Pam often back then so there was ample time to imprint the ‘Shoofly’ style into my gray matter. Pam and Carl eventually moved out to Hillsdale, NM where they
remained for about seven years or so (I visted them once) until they moved to the Seattle area to be close to their daughter and grandchildren.
I seen this one in a picture framing front window, liked it. He has amazing talent.
