More Fishhook Cactus Flowers These flowers came as a surprise to us when we went outside the courtyard yesterday. Today, the one-day wonders are gone. Click on the image to enlarge. Share 07 Aug 2011 by Damsel Arizona Flowers Home & Garden Photography
Looks like your Mammillaria tetrancistra is doing just fine, guys. Mine had a few flowers this weekend, but the one that really stole the show was a four-headed Mammillaria grahamii (Arizona fishhook pincushion). All four heads had complete coronas composed of their famous pink flowers. My daughter got some great pics of it yesterday, and it’s a good thing, too. Many of the flowers faded today.
You gotta be quick. One day wonders. I still haven’t seen any on the hillside behind the house.
