Please don’t associate the “point ‘n’ click” terminology with computers – unless the *&^$@ computer dies and just might make a better target than a tool. Come to think of it, even though the hard disk died, it’s possible it could be recovered and read by unauthorized persons. Any personal data on the hard drive should be destroyed.
Hmmmmm – a remote area, the Glocks and this defunct laptop – it might be fun.
Naah – I’ll just remove and destroy the drive and take the rest to the recycler.
Glocks and most anything are fun
Oh come on…you know you want to! Get some ‘spiderwire’ fishing line and suspend the laptop from a branch right over a trash can on top of a cheap blue tarp. When you’re done target practicing, the big chunks will end up in the trash cans while the little bits will fall on the cheap blue tarp. Roll up the tarp and throw it into the same trash can. Easy cleanup to boot.
While it’s tempting, we would have to drive quite a distance from our suburban entrenchment to get to a place where shooting inanimate objects is (1) legal and (2) safe. But it was fun to think about.
You’re right Kenny, it would be fun – and you’re right Gary – I really wanted to.
I remember heading to the hills over 40 years ago to toss stuff up and pretend it was a clay pigeon and nail it (whatever it was) in mid-air with my Ithaca 20 gauge single-shot. I still have that gun.
After we retire we plan on being closer to places like that.
