The hummingbirds that visit our feeders seem to be accustomed to the presence of humans near the feeders. This allows us to stand near the feeders and get up-close and personal photos of the little guys when they come for a sip or two. This little guy was six feet away from the lens when he had his beak deep inside the nectar. Click on the image to enlarge.
Nicely accomplished photo because I am sure it took some time to get them accustomed to you to be that close to get such an excellent photo of one at rest and feeding while on a perch.
They are another reason I miss AZ, especially around Tucson and south to Madera Canyon. Humming birds were in great abundance in many places I visited down that way. I don’t get to see many up this way at all.
Hope the both of you are well.
All the best,
Glenn B
By the way, it makes a nice desktop for a computer monitor.
Im glad you like the picture. We have 2 hummingbird feeders on opposite ends of the screened in patio, sometimes its like a war zone out there. The birds miss you Glenn.
