I rummaged through some of the old photos in the archives this afternoon. One image from March of last year shows the RV drive as it appeared at that time; it was taken from the hill to the east. I walked to approximately the same spot on the hill and took another image of the RV drive as it appears today.
Click on the image above to alternate between the THEN and NOW views of the RV drive. Notice the growth of the rosemary planted on the slope, the addition of the screen porch enclosure and, of course, the presence of an RV in the drive.
Nice comparison…
As I studied the pictures I noted that the rear of the house faces due east (or approx.)
and the longer shadow in the earlier picture would account for the seasonal changes.
I knew I could come up with more than two words for a comment (LOL).

Actually, the back of the house faces approximately magnetic north. the pics were taken at different day times. The camera is facing approximately west in both pix.
I never doubt that you couldn’t come up with more than a couple . . . 😀
Because you said that the picture was taken in the afternoon, I assumed it was late afternoon (the March picture) and thought the sun was setting in the west…therefor the longer shadow in the east…but heck, I was only 90 degrees off (LOL)

Whoops…you were checking the archives in the afternoon…the picture was taken at an earlier time…

Yep – you got it now – first photo taken late morning, second photo mid-afternoon.
…..And it looks like your ground cover is growing nicely!
We have the irrigation set to twice daily during the warmer months. Seems to be doing the job. As a secondary benefit, the rosemary can be cut and used in the kitchen. 🙂
