A little at a time, we’re going to decorate our little desert house for the Christmas Holiday. Today, I started out by trimming our little mailbox with poinsettia flowers. They are the plastic kind, but look very nice around the rim of the milk can that serves as an anchor for the post. Click on the image to enlarge.
We started putting ours up Wednesday.
We decorated with lights and those inflatable yard decorations. On the other hand, my Christmas cacti are full of buds!
Spending Christmas at our Cape Cod condo and help the elderly in-laws (90 and 91 yrs old) who live just 10 minutes away with decorating their tree so we do very little decorationg at the condo. They are real old-fashioned when it comes to Christmas and still use the same ornaments they used over sixty-five years ago…they won’t have it any other way…
Norm
ps: I’ve had this old milk can for a number of years and wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it…maybe you just gave me an idea. What’s it weighed down with?
Norm- The old milk can was given to us from an Aunt of mine. Decorated. Didn’t really know what to do with it, we’d had it for years at the old place. It just seemed like a nice mailbox holder. We cut a square hole outta the bottom, its filled with cement then sand, pretty cute.
Crotolus- Just bought our first Christmas cactus. Its full of blooms also.
Dr Jim- Too much football and turkey to decorate earlier.
Hope everyone had a really nice Thanksgiving!
