Our route to Cave Creek, Arizona, takes us along state route 74, a scenic highway from US 60 to Lake Pleasant. The first twenty miles, or so, along route 74 takes you through a very scenic area consisting of many varieties of desert vegetation dominated mostly by the saguaro cactus.

Beautiful!
I’ve always liked the desert. Reminds of what Buzz Aldrin called the Moon….
“Magnificent desolation”.
We love the desert too’ as you know. I was walking the dogs this morning. At around 8AM the temperature was 28°. It should get up to 53° later. Just when do we get this global warming the Greenbats are always talking about? 😉
Yuk-Yuk!
Wonder what it’ll be like out there come, oh, say July/August??
Last summer, we went to Lake Pleasant, ostensibly to have a picnic lunch. Not to be – it was 110 and climbing. We took pictures and drove back to the A/C hotel to have our lunch. 🙂
