When the family or friends come to visit, they have the option of bringing their RV and parking it behind the new house where there will be a full hookup RV pad. There is a hose bib, a sewer dump and a 30 amp electrical outlet – all weatherized, of course.
We arranged with our contractor to clear a pull through path around the house so it will not be necessary to have to back up a motorhome or trailer. That would be difficult and risky backing an RV or trailer up or downhill and around a corner. I know that I sure as hell don’t want to try that.
The panoramic image above (click for full-size view) shows the exit roadway on the left. The entrance is on the right side of the house where the driveway up to the garage is situated. Of course, there will be some sort of surface improvements (red gravel perhaps) on the entire pull-through pathway.
Looks almost move in ready, at least from the outside.
Not yet but nice huh!? We’ll get there, can’t wait. Come visit you’ll like it.
We’re hoping to have Thanksgiving dinner in the new house, but realistically, Christmas is the more likely scenario.
House and property look great, and the granite you selected is beautiful. But I’m concerned about that circle drive that goes behind the house. Miscreants, adventurers, drunks, dopers, etc. may elect to drive back there at 2:30 a.m. and conduct mischief. Just wondering if security devices (gates, poles, etc.) might be a good idea.
Well, we’re going to have motion activated floods out back and our pistols plus the shotgun is never very far away. At some point, Damsel wants to have a wall and gates installed, but more to keep javelinas and coyotes out. Besides, we’re pretty sure that incidents like you describe will be few and far between in Wickenburg which has one of the lowest crime rates in Arizona.
Very nice house. love the southwestern design. Wickenburg is great. Recently we moved to California from Montana and bought a fixer upper. which has been like that Tom Hanks movie. of the early 90’s. I still miss Montana, Califonia is where are daugher lives, my wife loves being close to her baby. So enjoy your new spread. Moving is not for sissys.
Hi Bob Patrick and welcome.
Moving can be quite an ordeal sometimes and we’re finding that to be true. In the long run it will be best for us, but in the meantime it is truly a “Money Pit.” The pain will be over soon, we’re sure.
Thanks for your comments.
