We got this view of the El Tovar Hotel while standing near the famous Lookout Studio at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The hotel is about a quarter of a mile away on the next point extending into the Canyon. I took this picture in December while on our winter vacation – it was cold, too, about 13 degrees F. or so. My good friend is the location manager of the Lookout Studio at GCNP. Weird. Maybe you met her if you talked to the people at the gift shop.
We were there pretty early in the morning, and didn’t talk to anybody. But, what a great place to have to go and work everyday for your friend.
We both work for Xanterra, whom you link to in the above post. She used to work where I do, Yellowstone. Great company in great places to work for/at.
Sounds like a couple of enviable jobs. Both GCNP and YNP are wonderful places to visit, let alone work there.
