Just before we left on our vacation, we sent the Warthog back to the shop for them to have a closer look at the problems it had with misfeeds. Today, it’s back in our possession. We plan to follow up the repairs with another report after we have a chance to put some ammo through it this coming Sunday.
I would like to thank Michael Bane again for putting us in touch with the Para public relations representative, Kerby Smith. The turn-around this time was very fast, on the order of two weeks excluding shipping time. Way to go guys!
I hope it works out. I almost made it through the 300 round break-in last Saturday but the recoil spring guide rod broke. She was fine before that. Para already sent me a replacement and I ordered another from Brownells to have a spare. My next step is having the controls get the NP3 treatment and the grip safety get more of a speed bump added. It’s just too small for me to disengage consistently when drawing from a holster. I’ve already added and extended MSH and that made the grip more comfy and more controllable.
BTW, how is your sight picture? I was consistently shooting low when I lined the dots straight across. I think if I put the front sight dot just above the rear dots it will be dead on. The range officer shot low as well and we both shot fine with his larger para.
I hope it works also. I love this gun. Will let everyone know on Sunday.
