Tony Snow — 1955 – 2008 Damsel and I mourn the passing of Tony Snow. The Nation and the media world have lost an extraordinary human being. Tony’s wife and children have lost a wonderful husband and father. God bless Tony’s family and friends in their time of loss. Share 12 Jul 2008 by CapnBob Media People
Tony Snow always told the truth.
Peter Jennings did not.
I posted the above on the New York Times…aaah, Slimes and they had it there for about five minutes before they removed it…yet they were more than obliging to accommodate all the leftists hate-remarks against Tony.
I once caught Mr. Jennings in an outright lie to an event I saw myself…he reported it with bias and added what he decided was the way it should be…strictly for propaganda purposes. Yet the left-wingers had nothing but praise for his poor departed soul.
Fixed the spelling, Norm. Thanks for the thoughts about the slimes. We have our own ‘slimes’ here on the west coast — the L.A. Slimes. Possibly worse than NYT.
Most media here in California are sharply left of center. It’s only because of waning circulation that any conservative viewpoints appear at all.
His passing got my attention since he’s only a couple years older than me – I really enjoyed his easy way of brushing past the Lefties with charm and style. I quit the local Bay Area newspaper a long time ago, at least six years – since it was little more than a reprint of AP wire stories and regurgitated NYT lies with little original content and a burning axe to grind about the usual Enviro-Whacko-Socialist garbage…

Now that you mention the AP…several months back while watching a White House briefing and the question & answers afterward, an NBC reporter (forgot his name) asked President Bush a question concernin the SCHIP plan (State Child Health Insurance Plan). President Bush knowing this scum-bag for what he is was very careful with the answer.
Jokingly I sent out an e-mail to friends and stated, “Watch NBC news tonight and they most likely will say that President Bush hates kids.”
Almost immediately a friend from Fall River, Mass. called me and said, “Norm, the AP has already reported it on the radio!!!”
Note to Cap’n Bob…
Can’t help but notice your flag for a background…looks good.
Awhile back I posted a little comment on my website that you can see here: http://normanhooben.blogspot.com/2008/06/she-wanted-to-talk-to-me.html
What’s not siad in the commentary is that I laid on my back down on my front walk-way to get the picture with the sky as the back-drop.
I think you may like my story…kinda cutsie.
Thanks Dirtcrashr and Norm for your thoughts on the media. It’s not a completely new phenomenon since I can recall the media’s biased coverage as far back as when Reagan ran for Governor against the incumbent Democrat, Pat Brown. In spite of that, Reagan had an overwhelming victory. people have to know that most media coverage is BS and has been for decades.
I saw the post on your site, Norm. Nice picture and story.
The flag in the background here is one that flew on the SS Lane Victory, a WWII Merchant Marine vessel permanently moored in Los Angeles Harbor as a working memorial the the Victory Ships. We took a day cruise on her a couple of years ago.
