Listening to both the Democrats and Republicans is pretty boring stuff. It starts out with every candidate’s over use of the personal pronoun – me, me, me – I, I, I.
Especially boring is the empty rhetoric from the Obama campaign . . .
- we need change . . .
- Washington broke . . .
- this administration . . .
- Iraq war . . .
- change we can believe in . . .
- real leadership . . .
- clean environment . . .
- save our schools . . .
- healthcare reform . . .
- get guns off the streets . . .
- get that woman some water . . .
Paleeeeze, Barack – say something with some substance! You’re even boring my dog!
It all sounds so familiar doesn’t it? Hasn’t history taught us, warned us about people like this? Even his wife’s self loathing “only proud of America now” comments speaks volumes on who they are. Given his resume, would any employer hire this guy? I think not. So why all the hype over an empty suit, a hollow promise, a fuzzy vision. Mankind cannot dine on hope alone. There must be substance. The only change I need is less government and less taxes. He only offers more of what this country need less of. People who have never lived outside this country have no idea what it’s like. The freedoms are taken for granted. Once socialism takes root, it it hard to get rid of it. I fear for us all.
Sorry it took me a while to add my comment here. Busy weekend.
Yep, Obama is a scary guy. If he gets elected, he will be the worst president ever. Jimmy Carter currently holds that distinction, but Obama will make Carter look positively Reaganesque.
