A little over a year ago, we got a pair of Smith & Wesson 908 9mm pistols: a 908s for Damsel and a black 908 for me. I took a photo at that time similar to this one that Damsel took today after cleaning the guns.
The interesting thing about this picture (to me) is that the apparently smaller of the two is a .45 caliber compact Para Ordinance Warthog with a 10-round magazine capacity, while the 908 is a 9mm, 8-round magazine capacity pistol. When Para claims this is the “most compact 1911,” I tend to believe them.
Nice looking guns. It is a shame you have to wait when you buy. Try living in a free state.
When we retire (1 year 8 months 25 days 4 hours – but who’s counting?), we are looking to relocate to a place more receptive to our firearms needs. This will have the side benefit of avoiding Taxifornia’s bite into our retirement income, living in an area that’s not overrun by illegal aliens and where the crime rate will be considerably lower, since areas where firearms are heavily restricted tend to have a higher violent crime rate. We can hardly wait.
I think you could be happy anywhere in the inter mountian west. It has everything you are looking for except for the lack of illegals
Yep, I expect there will be illegals most everywhere, but not in the numbers you see here in So. Cal. They like it here (many think it’s part of Mexico).
We can’t drive to the target range without passing street corners where they congregate looking for day work. They are in the medians by left turn lanes selling flowers or trinkets or fruit. But peaceful enterprise is not the real problem other than the drag on the infrastructure and the taxpayers – the real problem is illegal alien gangs, drug dealers, auto theft rings, home invasions, burglary, murder, drunk driving – you name it and it’s here.
I’m sure that most cities and towns in the inter mountain states can’t match that level of insurrection.
No it is not that bad. When you are ready come on up and we can have a cup of coffee
Not sure when we will be up your way, Kenny, but it would be our pleasure to chat with you over a cup of coffee.
