We’re in an undisclosed location somewhere in Arizona tonight. When we pulled the RV into the campsite and got all set up, these little guys showed up – the whole family. They’re Arizona Quail, I suppose – anyhow, they’re cute! Click on the image to enlarge.
Are you sure they are Arizonian?
They don’t look like documented Arizonians?
Yep they are. The undocumented ones are slower and hang outside of blinds.
Hmmmm…I’d expect the undocumented ones to hang around outside a Home Depot!
Nope no fly zone…and no gun zone.
They are so beautiful! I think they’re my very favorite of the wildlife birds. We have our piece of land, here in Tehachapi and we are always going over to dream of oneday building our home there. I love it when we’re sitting there and the mother quail leads her babies along for their time of teaching/feeding. Just recently there was a little Quail family scurrying across our land, and one of the young babies got a bit out of sync with the march and was looking around at something which caught it’s little eye, and the Mom say him and made her remark, and his little legs were just flying to get back into the family troop. (( Kind of like me …. lol …. I think the little one must have had arts/music in his/her veins, because artists/musicians are like that. We get into our own expressions/rhythms more often than naught, and have to be called back into curve/tempo! lol )) 🙂 You all have a safe and wonderful trip! Thanks so much for sharing with us. God Bless! Naomi
They are such a delight to watch! I think its like the blond girl. . .OH LOOK SOMETHING SHINEY! OR LOOK A MALL. . .and the mom gets them back in line. Sorta funny to watch. Thanks for the well wishes.
