We liked the town of Wickenburg, Arizona, when we were there a couple weeks ago. It seemed to have a nice out-west hometown feeling to it. We stayed at an RV park where the people that we dealt with were friendly and hospitable.
On our way out of town I snapped this shot of a billboard that captures a bit of the essence of the town. I liked the gun-friendly play on words. We were definitely not in California, anymore, Toto.
Ah, Wickenburg. Have an old boyfriend who lives there. Always meant to go visit but never have. If there are more great signs like this one, I just might have to make that drive
It was a charming place. There were a lot of old art-deco buildings and also a lot of newer Santa Fe style structures.
Go ahead and make that drive – just don’t do it in the middle of summer with the 112° temperatures unless you like that sort of weather.
I miss AZ, a trip there next year maybe in order for us.
We’ll be back that way in May for the NRA Convention in Phoenix. We’re looking forward to it.
