Damsel took this shot from the Saguaro National Park (West), near the museum. I cropped it down to this panoramic image looking west from the park. We drove up from Tucson to visit the park, then on to Marana, where we stayed for a couple of days to relax and look around.
There certainly is some pretty scenery in Arizona. Click on the image to enlarge.
Hvae you guys been down toward Parker Canyon Dam, south east of Tucson (actuually southeast of Sonoita). Beautiful area, totally different type of fauna, much more remote than where you are now. Just a thought for a nice day trip. Decent steak place in Sonoita at the Sonoitas only major intersection. Bring warm clothes it will be a lot cooler than the area around Tucson if you go down that way.
All the best,
GB
We’re back in Taxifornia now.
Last month when we were in Arizona, we drove from Tombstone through Sonoita and up to the Mission San Xavier. Later that day, we were in Saguaro National park (West actually – since corrected in the post above) where this photo was taken.
I have previously been to that area for wine tasting with friends who have property there. This time we saw the steakhouse but did not stop as we drove through town..
