Known as the “moth orchid” due to its resemblance to some tropical moths, the phalaenopsis is native to the Asiatic tropics, India, Indonesia and the Philippines. I just added this very pretty orchid to the living room where it was catching the afternoon sunshine when I took this photo. Click for a bigger view of this beautiful flower.
A very welcome change from the “Blossom of the Living Dead,” even though it took first place in the Things That Make Me Puke Category at the Carrion Classic in Seattle.
Actually this one looks like it has a happy little dancing kung fu thingie wearing leopard jammies or something in the middle. Mebbe it’s only because we watched Kung Fu Panda last night. I’ll be hanged if it don’t have little squinty Chinky eyes too.
Ignoring the colorful markings, these always reminded me of ‘lady’s things.’
I thought that Kung Fu Panda was a commercial endorsement of that Chinese fast food chain, Panda Express.
After you watched that flick did you need to see it again a half-hour later? I hope it doesn’t make you drive crazy on the road.
