{"id":165,"date":"2005-12-03T17:53:52","date_gmt":"2005-12-04T01:53:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/capnbob.us\/blog\/?p=165"},"modified":"2005-12-03T17:56:14","modified_gmt":"2005-12-04T01:56:14","slug":"damsel-sends-you-the-korean-bell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/capnbob.us\/blog\/2005\/12\/03\/damsel-sends-you-the-korean-bell\/","title":{"rendered":"Damsel Sends You the Korean Bell"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, we drove to San Pedro and visited the site of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sanpedrochamber.com\/champint\/korenbel.htm\">Korean Bell of Friendship and Bell Pavilion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/capnbob.us\/blog\/wp-images\/december\/k-bell.jpg\" class=\"centered\" \/><br \/>\nThis massive and intricately-decorated bell and pavilion was donated in 1976 to the people of Los Angeles by the people of the Republic of Korea to celebrate the bicentennial of the U.S. independence, honor <em>veterans of the Korean War<\/em>, and to consolidate traditional friendship between the two countries.
