Robert McCulloch, the guy that imported the bridge and had it re-assembled, block by block, was an interesting guy. He believed that the bridge would put Lake Havasu on he map and promote his aviation enterprise, the McCulloch Gyroplane. It put Havasu on the map but the Gyroplane business faltered when McCullock Motors couldn't provide enough power for the weird little machine. The Lycoming engines were so expensive that the aviation enterprise eventually went out of business.
