Ha - Damsel takes care of the manicures and pedicures around here. In my case, I keep my nails trimmed short because of daily keyboard use - I can't stand the clicking when they get long.

Yep too bad about that snub nose. We like the revolvers too as a defensive weapon for the same reasons. My S&W 686 and her Airweight are our constant companions - always loaded with .357 magnum and .38 special +P, respectively - hollow points, of course.

I see your paw, at least half of it anyway, wrapped around those beautiful grips. That's why I got rid of my Mod. 36. a looooong time ago. When I picked up my Kimber I was looking at a stainless .38 S&W with a hammer shroud. For a defensive carry weapon I always preferred the revolver - it is always loaded and no worry about stove pipe rounds no matter what ammo you're using. I could kick myself for getting rid of my snub nose .357 Mod. 19 when I retired.

BTW - nice hands - have you guys had pedicures recently? :-)

I dropped a photo into Damsel's comment above to illustrate why this little gun is more easily managed by her. She can get all digits of the right hand wrapped around the grip while those of us with larger hands have a dangling digit that gets no purchase at all. Without that extra digit, the gun kicks the hell out of me, about the same as firing a 158 grain .357 magnum round through my S&W 686.

How often do you shoot this thing? It's gotta buck like the Cap'n when ya jab him with a hot poker. Ergo the grips?
