		<description>It wouldn't surprise me if the former mayor and real estate businessman had that attitude - he was voted out in favor of the new mayor who has owned a towing company here for forty years. 

The problem seems to be with the police chiefs over the past:

He granted only one permit during 22 years as chief - to a South Bay prosecutor who had been threatened.&lt;/blockquote&gt;</description>

		<description>Interesting. That  PD is opening itself up to a major lawsuit, particularly if they are violating their own rules and regulations in doing so. I wonder if the Mayor of Torrence is the one calling the shots on this. We have politicians here who also think that legal pistol permit holders are a problem. Time and time again we show them that the ones commting crimes are doing so with illegal weapons.</description>
